Product Description

Unispec - 6

Unispec - 6 is a high performance twin additive system for Bright Nickel Plating especially designed for high speed plating, fast levelling, sharp white brightness, superior coverage and excellent chrome receiptivity producing very ductile deposits over a wide range of current densities. Suitable for use in moving cathode, barrel and air agitated systems. Two liquid components Unispec - 6 and Nickel Additive 22 / Nickel Additive 232 are required for make-up and regular replenishment.

    Note:Nickel Additive 232 should be preferred because of its superiority over its earlier equivalents and in such case its makeup addition would be 5 - 8 ml/l.

    AGITATION
    Low pressure air or cathode rod movement.

    FILTRATION
    Minimum 3-4 solution turnovers per hour. However, 4 to 6 are preferred in dusty environments.

    ANODES
    Cast carbon or Electrolytic Nickel Rolled anodes or  Nickel rounds/pellets in bagged titanium baskets. Anode to Cathode Ratio. 2 : 1

    Note:Trouble shooting guidelines
    1. Ductility: To improve, add Nickel Additive 22S.
    2. Pitting: To reduce pitting, add Antipit No. 1.
    3. LCD Blackening: To remove, add Nickel Additive 52.
